What counts as a database connection?
A database connection is a unique combination of server, database name, and credentials. You can connect to the same database from multiple tools (CLI, MCP, SDK) without using additional connections.
Can I switch plans at any time?
Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. When upgrading, you'll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your billing cycle. When downgrading, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle.
What databases are supported?
SQL2.AI currently supports PostgreSQL (9.6+) and SQL Server (2016+). We're actively working on support for MySQL and Oracle, coming in early 2025.
How does the Claude MCP integration work?
SQL2.AI provides a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that integrates directly with Claude. Once configured, Claude can access your database context, run analyses, and help with SQL tasks—all through natural conversation.
Is my database data secure?
Absolutely. SQL2.AI operates locally by default—your data never leaves your machine. For cloud features, all data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and we never store your actual database content, only metadata and analysis results.
What's included in the free plan?
The free plan includes full access to the CLI tool with 1 database connection, 100 query optimizations per month, and 5 schema analyses. It's perfect for individual developers working on personal projects.
